3) Intro. Exprimons-nous vocab. on p. 18, review classroom vocab., partner practice—Mme makes statements using the Exprimons-nous vocab., students respond to a partner.
4) Intro. the irregular verb, ‘avoir’. Intro. idea of verb conjugation on board w/ English verb ‘to play’. Show French conjugation on board, then look at chart on p. 26

1) Warm-up: refresh the subject pronouns, and use w/ je m’appelle, il/elle s’appelle, tu t’appelles?
2) Intro./refresh colors- orally, then look at the words on p. 125 of the book. Talk about using adjectives. There are different spellings depending on what you are describing. We’ll work with that more in a couple of months. Practice with statements: Un/une _________ est __________.
3) Intro./review indefinite articles: un/une/des. Review the verb ‘avoir’- look at the poster, pronounce, individually w/ random names—Q & A from Mme S. (tp26Act47)

1) Intro. Mandatory Access/Study Hall, distribute some slips
2) Warm-up: greetings, partings, age, Ça va, Comment tu t’appelles, C’est quelle couleur, C’est combien, letters of the alphabet
3) Partner practice, p. 13 Act. 20. Use the four photos there, and use the phrases to talk about the people in the photos. Share. Then do the same activity, but make up what you would say about the photos Mme S. holds up.
4) Review the names of accent marks w/ textbook, p. 22, and Exprimons-nous p. 22. Try ‘alpha-spelling’ w/ scratch paper

2) Continue w/ culture of Ile de France—in pairs, read pp 0-3 aloud to each other. Choose 3 interesting ‘factoids’ about the region, then Mme will combine groups, ending w/ all-class discussion (if absent, come in to read these pages on your own)
3) HW due Monday: Write 12 complete sentences using this prompt: La salle de classe a _____ ____. Be sure to use un/une/des before the classroom objects.
